WATCH: Nebraska baseball OF Mojo Hagge makes game-saving catch to beat Michigan State – Landof10.com

It looked like Nebraska’s ninth-inning lead against Michigan State was about to go away with one swing of the bat Sunday.

The Huskers led 8-7 with two outs in the top of the ninth when the Spartans’ Marty Bechina drove a ball to deep left-center field. It would’ve been a game-tying home run if it wasn’t for freshman left fielder Mojo Hagge.

Hagge tracked the ball down and made a leaping grab at the wall to rob Bechina of a home run and give the Huskers a win. It’s one of the best catches in college baseball this season.

With the 8-7 win, the Huskers improved to 32-17-1 on the season and 14-6-1 in Big Ten play. The Huskers — who are led by Big Ten Coach of the Year candidate Darin Erstad — hold a half-game lead on Michigan for first place in the conference. Nebraska closes out conference play with a three-game series at last-place Penn State next weekend.
