“You’re clear!”

Those were the words that Erik Jones heard from his spotter, as the No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports truck pulled ahead of BK Racing‘s Alex Tagliani with two laps to go in Sunday’s Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The 19-year-old wheelman held on to take the checkered, his task becoming easier on the final lap when Tagliani began dropping in the field.

As Tagliani fell back, ThorSport Racing’s Matt Crafton swept in to take the runner-up position at the 2.46-mile road course. Red Horse Racing’s Ben Kennedy and NTS Motorsports’ Daniel Hemric took the third and fourth spots, respectively. Polesitter Tagliani settled for fifth-place after a disappointing final lap for the road course veteran.

After leading four times for 22 laps, Cole Custer‘s chance at the checkered was spoiled at Lap 53, when his No. 00 JR Motorsports truck spun after contact with Tagliani’s No. 29. The race stayed green and Custer held on to finish 10th.

The 64-lap race saw a record-setting 15 lead changes, the most in the track’s history. The caution flag was waved five times, twice for a stalled trucks and three times for accidents. BK Racing‘s Tyler Reddick brought out the final yellow of the day, as his No. 19 Truck hit the tire wall with five laps remaining. Reddick’s 19th-place finish caused him to relinquish his lead in the points standing race winner Jones.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is back on track on Sept. 13 for the American Ethanol E15 225 at Chicagoland Speedway (8:30 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1).
