NASCAR at Texas: TV schedule, dates, times, qualifying drivers for O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 – Sporting News

Brad Keselowski became the first driver in the Cup Series to win multiple races this season when he passed Kyle Busch with 42 laps remaining and never looked back Sunday at Martinsville.

Now back on a 1.5-mile track at Texas Motor Speedway, Keselowski will go for win No. 3 in Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 (1:30 p.m. ET on Fox). The No. 2 Penske driver leads the series with 10 playoff points and sits fourth in the points standings, 34 points behind No. 1 ranked Kyle Larson.

Think the Grandfather Clock is a cool prize awarded to the winner at Martinsville? This week, first place at Texas Motor Speedway gets to celebrate by donning a cowboy hat and firing two six-shooter pistols into the air. The trophy itself features a pair of hard-carved cowboy boots with the Speedway Motorsports, Inc. globe logo that sits on the double-tiered wooden base with two longhorn steer heads. The hand-painted trophy also includes a pair of genuine spurs.

With a crowd capacity in excess of 190,000, Texas Motor Speedway is among the largest sports venues in the United States.

This week, the NASCAR Xfinity Series joins the Cup Series in the Lone State state.
