Peyton Manning coy about future, has slight mishap during NASCAR broadcast – Fox 59

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 18, 2016) – Retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning added a dose of NFL football to Sunday’s NASCAR race.

Manning was a guest of Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the Sprint Cup Series race in Bristol. Manning threw a football to Michael Waltrip in pit row (after a slight mishap thanks to a cameraman) and also stopped by the FOX broadcasting booth.

Manning dodged questions about his future plans, but Jeff Gordon, who retired from racing last year, offered some advice for the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

“Be careful about standing up here in the booth,” Gordon said. “It’s contagious.”

“I understand, I will. Thanks,” Manning replied.
