US Soccer Selects Orlando to Host USA-Panama World Cup Qualifier, Presented by Volpi Foods – U.S. Soccer (press release) (registration) (blog)

CHICAGO (May 8, 2017) – U.S. Soccer has selected the city of Orlando to host USA-Panama, presented by Volpi Foods. The ESPN and Univision Networks will broadcast live from Orlando City Stadium, with the kickoff time still to be determined. Fans can also follow the game live on Twitter at @ussoccer and @ussoccer_esp, and Facebook.

POTENTIAL CLINCHER?
This World Cup Qualifier is the last home match of Final Round Qualifying for the United States, and potentially could be the date on which the U.S. advances to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Currently in fourth place after four matches, the home leg against Panama falls on Matchday 9 of the ten-game Hex. The MNT closes out the group on Oct. 10 at Trinidad & Tobago. [STANDINGS]

HISTORIC DATE IN ORLANDO
The U.S. returns to Orlando for the first time since a 1-0 win against Sweden in 1998, and never with more on the line. This is the first MNT match in official competition hosted by the city, and only the second World Cup Qualifier in the state of Florida since 1980.

TICKET LOTTERY
Information regarding ticket availability to the general public will be announced in the near future. Due to the anticipated high demand for and limited supply of tickets to the match, U.S. Soccer will use a lottery system to allocate tickets among those who apply. The process will ensure that those interested have a fair opportunity to attend the game.

Certain groups will have a greater chance in the lottery process compared to the general public. U.S. Soccer Members as of June. 1, 2017, and others in the U.S. Soccer community will have their applications included in an early lottery selection phase prior to the inclusion of those applications from the general public. If you are not already a U.S. Soccer Member, click here to join now.

Circle members of the U.S. Soccer Development Fund receive Group A Priority Access to the ticket lottery. Coaches Circle and Presidents Circle members can enjoy individual customer support and concierge services for their ticketing needs. Click here or contact circles@ussoccer.org for more information.

Individual households or places of business will have the opportunity to request a maximum of four tickets and to apply only once. Following the completion of the application phase, a computer program will randomly select those who are to receive tickets. The successful applicants will be notified and their transaction will be completed.
