Kansas State finds new KC radio home with 610 Sports – Kansas City Star

Kansas State’s search for a new radio home in Kansas City is over.

All K-State football and men’s basketball games will be heard on 610 Sports starting next month.

The Wildcats anounced a four-year agreement with Entercom KC, which owns KCSP (610 AM) to make the station the official radio partner of K-State sporting events in Kansas City.

“When we began our search for a new radio home in Kansas City, a strong commitment to K-State and our programs and an improved signal strength were at the forefront of our discussions,” K-State athletic director Gene Taylor said. “With Entercom KC and 610 Sports, we were able to accomplish those goals, and we are excited to begin what we hope to be a long-term relationship together. I know our fans, both in the Kansas City metro area and throughout areas of the Midwest, will enjoy an improved listening experience.”

K-State moves to 610 Sports after spending the previous 18 years with WHB (810 AM). Sports Radio 810 recently signed a three-year agreement to begin airing KU games.
