Lonzo Ball sports Curry’s shoes, helps Lakers into Vegas summer league semis – CBSSports.com

Lonzo Ball continued to make as much noise about his shoes as his game, though Ball was impressive in the Los Angeles Lakers‘ 115-106 Summer League victory over the Brooklyn Nets in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Ball, who has sported the family shoes — Big Baller Brand — Nike and Adidas in previous outings, broke out the new, not-on-the-market-yet Stephen Curry Under Armor kicks. Oh, he had 14 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the Lakers reached the semifinals of the Vegas league.

He did, however, continue to struggle shooting the ball. Ball went 4 of 12 from the floor and 1 of 3 from 3-point range and is shooting only 35.4 percent overall. Seems like if he were wearing Curry’s shoes, the shot would get a little better. Always under scrutiny, Ball said he’s taking his performance in stride afterward.

“As long as we’re winning, we’re successful,” Ball said in a postgame interview on ESPN.

Asked on ESPN if he had decided on shoes for the semifinals (vs. Dallas, 8 p.m. ET Sunday), Ball said, “When I wake up, I’ll decide then.”

Ball is averaging a Vegas league-leading 9.2 assists, while scoring 16.4 points and grabbing 8.4 boards per game.
