Longtime sports-radio personality Mike Jurecki has a new home on Phoenix airwaves.

Jurecki, who was dismissed last month from his job on Fox Sports 910, will join Arizona Sports 98.7 FM beginning Monday, the station announced.

Jurecki will join former Arizona Cardinal Bertrand Berry for a two-hour show that will air from 10 a.m. to noon each weekday, according to the station.

Jurecki announced in early May that he was no longer going to be appearing on his morning radio show on Fox Sports 910.

That was the station’s choice, not Jurecki’s.

“I was a cap casualty,” Jurecki said at the time.

On Thursday, Jurecki said he was “thrilled” to work with a team committed to producing local sports content.

“I look forward to teaming up with Bertrand, a player I covered and respected on and off the field, and creating content for one of the largest local sports websites in the country,” he wrote in a prepared statement.
