They are made out of the same polyethylene that is used in pool noodles, body boards and other pool games. The cup holders on these foam tables are specifically designed to hold 16 oz cups tightly and allow the rims to touch. The cup holes are slightly recessed so you do not have to worry about the cups tipping over or sliding. You can also bounce on these tables because the flat surface on top of these tables is conducive for bouncing!
