The Scott Burke 8' soft SURFBOARD package is a unbeatable value for a surfboard package like this. The board itself has a high density waterproof EPS foam core, heat laminated foam deck, and hard IXPE/XPE slick bottom. Soft-top (foam surfboards) allow the rider more buoyancy while riding a wave - easier to float and more table to stand up. 7ft and 8ft surfboards are generally viewed as the standard size 'beginner board' so if you've been wanting to learn to surf then this is the board for you! The foam deck also allows a rider to stand more easily since its not as slippery as a traditional fiberglass board - wax can be applied to this foam surfboard just like a fiberglass board though for even more grip. Additionally we have added a traction pad to this new 2018 model to really help the rider get strong footing with their back leg once up and riding the wave.
