SMITHFIELD, R.I. – In an effort to raise money and awareness for men’s health, the Bryant University baseball team is participating in No-Shave November for the second-straight year.
Last season, the Bulldogs raised $2,395 during the month of November and have set their goal for $1,600 this year with the expectation of once again exceeding it. The Bryant baseball program has raised over $16,000 in support of various charitable organizations over the last five years.
No-Shave November was started to create awareness for men’s health (prostate cancer/testicular cancer etc). The money raised by the Bulldogs will benefit the American Cancer Society, Prevent Cancer Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Fight Colorectal Cancer.
Every member of the Bryant baseball team is participating in the fundraising event and will be seeking donations throughout the month. Once the month is over, the Bulldogs will have a team shave on campus.
