LSU maintained its stranglehold on the No. 1 spot in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings after sweeping a series against Missouri and taking sole possession of first place in the SEC’s overall standings. ACC leader Louisville and Pac-12 leader UCLA remained No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, after winning showdown series against Florida State and Arizona State. Big 12 leader TCU and Big Ten leader Illinois each moved up a spot to round out the top five.

Ten teams that were ranked last week lost series over the weekend, leading to plenty of movement in the Top 25. Florida jumped four spots to No. 6 after taking a road series from Vanderbilt. Other big climbers were Miami (up four spots to No. 9), Missouri State and Dallas Baptist (up five spots apiece to No. 11 and No. 12), and Iowa (up four spots to No. 14).

The biggest fallers this week were UC Santa Barbara (down eight spots to No. 15), Arizona State (down six spots to No. 11) and Florida Atlantic (down nine spots to No. 24), all of whom lost crucial series against conference powers.

Missouri, Auburn and North Carolina fell out of the Top 25 after all three were swept in weekend series. Rice jumped back into the rankings at No. 20 after sweeping FAU on the road. Houston also returned to the rankings at No. 22 following a series win against East Carolina. And California, which is tied for second place in the Pac-12, re-entered the rankings at No. 25 after winning a cross-country road series at Campbell.
