Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB DraftKings Ideal Lineup Picks for June 15 – Bleacher Report

Every team is in action Monday, which means people playing daily fantasy baseball will have plenty of options at each position. While there are opportunities to spend money on big names, the most important factor is value.

Here is a look at the best value picks across the board for June 15.

Pitchers

Dallas Keuchel, Houston Astros ($9,600)

Masahiro Tanaka ($10,600) is a top option after pitching seven innings of one-run ball in each of his two starts since returning from the disabled list. Still, his injury history and his inability to rack up high pitch counts remain concerns for the high cost.

Fantasy owners can get more value from Dallas Keuchel, who has quietly been one of the top pitchers in baseball this season. He currently has a 1.90 ERA overall as well as a 1.29 ERA and a 5-0 record in seven home starts in 2015.

With the Colorado Rockies struggling to score on the road (.237 batting average compared to .300 at home) and managing just six runs in a four-game series against the Miami Marlins, Keuchel can have another big game.

Michael Wacha, St. Louis Cardinals ($8,400)

While a come-from-behind win Sunday stopped the Minnesota Twins’ losing streak at five, they haven’t been playing good baseball as of late. This is good news for Michael Wacha, who is a bit inconsistent overall but has been an effective fantasy player recently.

The 23-year-old starter has tallied at least 21 points on DraftKings in four of his last five starts, and he always has a good chance for a win playing for the team with the best record in baseball. For a reasonable price, you can get some good value with this pick.

Carlos Rodon, Chicago White Sox ($6,500)

There are a few quality mid-range options, such as Taijuan Walker ($7,900), Wei-Yin Chen ($7,700) and Edinson Volquez ($7,100), but the best sleeper of the day might be Carlos Rodon. The highly touted rookie has been incredibly efficient in his last four starts, going at least six innings with one or fewer earned runs allowed each time.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Pirates have won four games in a row, but the offense hasn’t been doing the work. The squad has scored only nine total runs in its last six games.

Rodon should be able to continue his strong play against an offense that is not doing much against anyone.

Hitters

Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, Arizona Diamondbacks ($5,200)

The major league leader in batting average seems like an obvious name, but this is a reasonable price considering what Paul Goldschmidt is capable of at the plate. The first baseman has at least two hits in each of the last four games and is always a threat to either hit a home run or steal a base.

Against Jered Weaver, who has allowed 14 home runs this season in 13 starts, Goldschmidt is a safe option for the price.

Maikel Franco, 3B, Philadelphia Phillies ($4,500)

The Philadelphia Phillies have been awful, but Maikel Franco has a .432 batting average in June with four home runs. So far this month, he has seven multihit games and just one (Sunday’s loss to Pittsburgh) without a hit.

Playing at Camden Yards, which, according to ESPN.com, is known for allowing home runs, Franco could have a nice showing against left-handed pitcher Wei-Yin Chen.

Russell Martin, C, Toronto Blue Jays ($3,900)

Picking just about anyone on the Blue Jays lineup seems like a good bet, as the team won its 11th game in a row Sunday. However, Russell Martin has excelled with a .440 batting average, three home runs and 10 RBI in the past six games.

For a reasonable price, Martin seems like the best bet at catcher against rookie pitcher Noah Syndergaard.

Team to Stack

Kansas City Royals

In his last three starts, Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Kyle Lohse has allowed 29 hits, leading to a 6.27 ERA.

Even after a rough series against the Cardinals, the Kansas City Royals should come alive against a poor pitcher in a stadium that has been the best hitter’s park in the league this season, via ESPN.com. Mike Moustakas, Salvador Perez and Alex Gordon are players you want in your lineup.
