Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for June 1 – Sporting News
Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings, strategy, and advice for Wednesday’s MLB slate.
This is a very top-heavy day for pitching. There are several aces on the hill, including Max Scherzer and Felix Hernandez in great matchups, but the rankings fall off a cliff around Aaron Sanchez. Sure, some of these mid-tier guys have been pitching well lately, but they feel more like land mines than potential value picks.

I’d be careful digging too deep for your SPs today. With that in mind, let’s take a look at today’s full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we’ll also have hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!
Daily fantasy baseball picks
Splurge: Felix Hernandez, Mariners at Padres. Not only does King Felix ($11.000X on FD and DK) get to pitch in a pitcher-friendly NL park, he also faces the Padres, who have the second-lowest OPS and fourth-most strikeouts vs. righthanders. It’s OK to pay top dollar here.

Save: Jaime Garcia, Cardinals at Brewers. The last time Garcia ($8,500 on FD; $8,400 on DK) faced the Brewers, he tossed a one-hit, 13-K shutout for 78 FanDuel points. The Brewers’ righty-heavy lineup has been just “meh” against lefties all season.
Sell: Cheap pitchers. I’m not messing with anyone under $8,500 on FD or $8,300 on DK today. That’s going to squeeze your hitting budget, but we’re here to help.
