Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks: Starting pitcher rankings, advice for May 26 – Sporting News
Our daily fantasy baseball picks continue with starting pitcher rankings, strategy, and advice for Thursday’s MLB slate.
It’s a short, eight-game slate Thursday with only five games on the evening slate. To make things more difficult for daily fantasy baseball owners, the top three pitchers are going in the afternoon slate and won’t even be available in certain contests.

All that means you’re going to have to dig deep for value on the mound tonight, so let’s take a look at today’s full starting pitcher rankings and picks. As usual, we’ll also have hitter picks and the DFS Playbook from Fantasy Alarm to help you find the best values on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck!

Splurge: Jose Fernandez, Marlins at Rays. Gerrit Cole and Drew Smyly will be just fine, but Fernandez ($11,000 on FD; $13,200 on DK) is the only pitcher you can really trust for huge points today. The only problem is that all three of those aces pitch this afternoon.
Sell: CC Sabathia, Yankees vs. Blue Jays. The Hefty Lefty has posted back-to-back 51-point games on FanDuel, but I’m not trusting the resurgence against the Blue Jays’ righty-heavy lineup. That said, it’s tough to automatically rule out anyone today with so few options on the mound.

Save: Matt Wisler, Braves at Brewers. Braves pitchers are on a roll lately, including Wisler ($6,500 on FD; $9,100 on DK), who dropped 50 points on FanDuel in his last start and has at least 37 in three of his last four outings. Hate that he’s so much more expensive on DK, though; J.A. Happ ($6,700) might be the better value there.
