DraftKings fantasy baseball picks-July 9 lineups – FanSided
As Major League Baseball heads into the final weekend before the All-Star game, there are three different windows for daily fantasy baseball players to get into contests today. There are three games in the early window starting at 1:o5 ET, seven games in the 7:00 time slot, or you can choose to put together an all-day lineup that utilizes players from all ten games. To help you get your lineup finalized, check out my DraftKings fantasy baseball lineups for each of the three ways to play today.
While these same picks could be used on any of the many sites that offer daily fantasy baseball, the salary structure is based on DraftKings. If you choose to play on FanDuel, Draftster, FantasyAces, or the new Yahoo daily fantasy site, my lineups would be similar with maybe some minor adjustments based on player pricing and scoring differences.
If you have a question about your daily fantasy baseball team, you can find me @FansidedFantasy on Twitter throughout the day. I’ll also keep you up to date if I have to adjust my lineups listed as lineups come out later today. Let’s get right to my DraftKings fantasy baseball picks for this Thursday starting with my Early Only lineup with a quick stat worth knowing for each player in my lineup.
Early Only Lineup
SP-Jeff Samardzija-Chicago White Sox: At least 7.0 innings in six straight starts with a 3.73 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. Pitching against Dickey should be lined up for a win.
SP-Yordano Ventura-Kansas City Royals: Ventura is risky coming off the DL, but taking on Tampa at home is a good matchup. are only three games on the schedule in this window, so with limited options I’ll take his upside in this matchup.
C-Russell Martin-Toronto Blue Jays: As listed here, Martin has a good history against Samardzija and he should definitely get the start since he didn’t start last night.
1B-Kendrys Morales-Kansas City Royals: Morales has gone 5-12 so far in the series against the Rays with a double, two runs scored, and four RBI.
2B-Devon Travis-Toronto Blue Jays: Travis is 10-26 over the last week and has raised his average to just under .300.
3B-Marcus Semien-Oakland Athletics: Semien has hit in six straight games and has a pair of home runs already in July while going 6-25 (.240).
SS-Alcides Escobar-Kansas City Royals: Escobar has four multi-hit performance in his last five games and is 12-28 (.429) over the last week. He went 4-5 yesterday to pull his average up to .291 on the season.
OF-Lorenzo Cain-Kansas City Royals: Cain returned to the lineup yesterday and went 3-4 with a double and a home run. At just 4,500 he’s a solid value if he hits third again this afternoon against Nathan Karns and the Rays.
OF-Billy Burns-Oakland Athletics: Burns is 10-31 (.323) this month and has hit in five straight games.
OF-Melky Cabrera-Chicago White Sox: Cabrera has been raking this month going 10-25 (.400) with a homer and three doubles. He is 5-15 (.333) with a triple and a homer against R.A. Dickey in his career.
