As Major League Baseball heads into the All Star break, we have one more day for fantasy baseball before a week of down time. As you put together your lineups for this final Sunday of the ceremonial first half of the season, check out my top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups to find some players to consider.

Every morning here on Fansided, you can find the top ten hitters who have a good track record against their probable opponent for the day.  Their history makes them intriguing options to target for tonight. In each of my posts, I do my best to include a variety of teams and positions  to help you fill as many slots as possible. I also try to include a few sleepers who are usually on the fringes of fantasy play but could end up being good value plays as well as a few stars who can serve as center pieces for your lineup.

A hitter’s batter vs pitcher history (BVP) is always an important factor to consider when setting your lineup. If you find these top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups helpful and want to make it part of your regular fantasy baseball routine, set a bookmark on the fantasy baseball hub.  You can also follow @FansidedFantasy on Twitter where I’ll tweet out links to the daily posts.

If you are looking to try out one of the many daily league fantasy baseball options today, one to consider is FanDuel who runs daily competitions each day of the MLB season. You can get there by clicking the link in the box above or the link at the end of the post.

Without those preliminaries in place, let’s jump right in to today’s top 10 batter vs pitcher matchups to attack.

10. Jose Reyes-SS-Toronto Blue Jays: The Blue Jays close out their mid-America trip in Kansas City as they play the rubber game of their three game set.  They’ll take on Edinson Volquez of the Royals today as the look to finish their trip 4-6 with a win today.  One Blue Jay who has a good history against Volquez is Jose Reyes who is 6-9 (.667) against him in his career including a double and a triple.

9. Ian Kinsler-2B-Detroit Tigers: Reyes’ double-play partner in many fantasy lineups today is going to be Ian Kinsler oof the Tigers as they look to earn a split of their four-game series in Minnesota.  To do that, they’ll need to beat Kyle Gibson who Kinsler has gone 7-18 (.389) against in the past with a double, home run, and three RBI.

8. Adrian Gonzalez-1B-Los Angeles Dodgers: Gonzalez and the Dodgers will be heading into the All Star break atop the NL West after their game against the Brewers this afternoon.  They’ll close out a solid first half as they take on Kyle Lohse.  Lohse has had troubles in the past with Adrian Gonzalez allowing him to go 10-26 (.385) with five doubles, two homers, and five RBI in their past career meetings.
