SPLITS TO KNOW
– As you might expect, Felix Hernandez owns the majority of the Angels’ lineup. Kole Calhoun (1-for-18, 7 Ks), Albert Pujols (8-for-39, 11 Ks), David Freese (0-for-13, 6 Ks) and Erick Aybar (17-for-79, 16 Ks) are hitting a combined .174 against him. Only Mike Trout (19-for-52, 8 extra-base hits) has had any real success against Hernandez.
– Gerardo Parra is 9-for-26 (.346) with three doubles lifetime against Clayton Kershaw.
– Evan Longoria (9-for-43, 15 Ks) has struggled mightily in his career against Clay Buchholz. Teammates Asdrubal Cabrera (4-for-11, double, 2 HRs) and David DeJesus (6-for-17, 4 BBs) have fared better, though in fewer at-bats.
– Freddie Freeman is just 1-for-14 with five Ks in his career against Aaron Harang.
– Elvis Andrus is 6-for-31 lifetime against Dallas Keuchel.
– David Ortiz has managed just one hit in 13 career at-bats against Jake Odorizzi.
– Martin Prado is 8-for-20 with three doubles in his career against Jordan Zimmermann. Teammate Adeiny Hechavarria (5-for-25) hasn’t fared nearly as well.
– R.A. Dickey‘s knuckler has befuddled nearly all of the Yankees’ key regulars. Carlos Beltran (5-for-26), Brett Gardner (4-for-18, 7 Ks), Brian McCann (6-for-32), Mark Teixeira (4-for-19) and Chris Young (1-for-13, 5 Ks) are all hitting below .223 against him.
– Justin Upton (11-for-27, HR, double) has seen the ball well against Madison Bumgarner.
– Matt Holliday (15-for-40, 4 doubles, 4 HRs), Yadier Molina (15-for-38, 4 doubles, 3 HRs), and Jon Jay (13-for-32, 3 doubles) have all crushed Travis Wood.

CALL TO THE ‘PEN
Just one day after Chris Hatcher earned his second save of the season and Yimi Garcia was used in the eighth inning, Garcia got the call in the top of the ninth in a tie game on Sunday — a role usually reserved for a team’s closer. Hatcher didn’t pitch at all in the 13-inning affair, so perhaps he was unavailable. Either way, both players remain worth owning for the time being. … Toronto sent down former closer Miguel Castro on Sunday, further strengthening Brett Cecil‘s grip on the closer’s job. Steve Delabar, who was called up on Sunday in a corresponding move, is the best bet to take over if something happens to Cecil.
WEATHER WATCH
The Diamondbacks-Rockies game in Denver (47-percent chance of rain) is the only contest with any weather concerns.
