Before the 2016 baseball season passes, an anniversary deserves recognition.

Happy 150th, Richmond. Your first amateur teams formed in the spring and summer of 1866, according to “Baseball and Richmond,” a book written by W. Harrison Daniel, a former history professor at the University of Richmond, and Scott P. Mayer, who’s on the staff at St. Christopher’s.
