Mother Nature dropped a big pile of mess on local baseball and softball schedules this week with a few inches of snow.
High school practices are moved indoors. Little League tryouts and evaluations are rescheduled. And for the local college teams already playing games — good luck. Nothing can wreck a springtime sports schedule in Maryland more than an ill-timed winter storm.
But some of the baseball teams around the state shared photos this week — and throughout the winter — that showed that you’re never far away from baseball season, even if you’re being forced to shovel snow.
