Here’s more on the game from the Beavers’ release:

SURPRISE, Ariz. — Logan Ice homered and tripled in an eight-run fifth inning as the fifth-ranked Oregon State baseball team defeated Utah, 10-2, Monday in nonconference action at Surprise Stadium.

Ice put the Beavers on the board with his first home run of the season, then, in his second at bat of the inning — Oregon State sent 12 to the plate — he cleared the bases with a triple that landed near the base of the fence in right center.

The Beavers (3-1 overall) rapped out 15 hits in the win, with seven coming during the eight-run fifth. KJ Harrison drove in two while Jack Anderson and Cadyn Grenier added RBIs during the frame.

The offense came in support of left-hander Luke Heimlich, making his first start of the season. The sophomore scattered four hits and two runs in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked one to pick up the win.

Scotland Church held Utah to a hit and two walks in the final 2 2/3 innings of the game to close it out.

Harrison led the Beavers with three hits, including two doubles. Anderson, Ice, Trever Morrison and Kyle Nobach all finished with two hits for the Beavers, who are batting .373 as a team after four games.

Anderson drove in two runs — the first of his collegiate career.

Morrison, meanwhile, is batting .563 and has hit safely in all four games. Nick Madrigal, batting in the No. 2 spot in the lineup, also extended his hit streak to four games by singling in Monday’s win. He is batting .421 this season.
