Flanagan defeats Cypress Bay
Dylan O’Connell tossed a complete game three-hitter, allowing an unearned run, walking two and striking out 10 to lead Flanagan in its 4-1 win over Cypress Bay in District 13-9A baseball Tuesday.
O’Connell also went 1-for-2 at the plate, his lone hit a three-run homer in a four-run fourth inning for the host Falcons (10-1 overall, 6-0 District 13-9A).
O’Connell and Eddie Schissler went back-to-back in the home run department. Schissler’s homer was a solo shot to left that made it 4-1 Falcons with one out in the fourth.
Schissler finished 2-for-2 with a single.
The Lightning dropped to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in District 13-9A.

Wellington defeats Bethany (Okla.)
Dom Paulo delivered an RBI single, scoring Angelo Brunelas, in the bottom of the ninth inning for Wellington in its 3-2 walk-off win over Bethany (Okla.) in non-district baseball Tuesday.
Brunelas led off the ninth inning with his fifth hit, a single to center field, before advancing to third on Dylan Tosto’s double to left field with nobody out. Rick Neyman walked following
Tosto’s double to load the bases, setting up Paulo’s game-winning hit.
Paulo went 3-for-5 with two singles and a double for the Wolverines (7-5). Brunelas finished 5-for-5 with a triple, a double, three singles, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.
Luke Panakos pitched four shutout innings, without allowing a hit, walking one and striking out two to improve to 2-0.
Tyler Broyles went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI to lead the Broncos.
