9 PM, Free baseball: In Class 2A, New Brockton and Houston Academy are tied at 1-all in Game 2 after seven innings.
8:58, Class 3A final: Westbrook Christian (26-10) sweeps to 7-2 and 4-2 victories over Pisgah.
8:52 PM, Sweeps: Madison Academy sweeps past Winfield, winning 11-0 in Game 2 in Class 3A.
Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa sweeps past Opelika, winning 8-3 in Game 2 in Class 6A.
8:40 PM, Class 1A sweep: Decatur Heritage beat Cedar Bluff 10-0 in Game 2 after winning 7-0 in the opener.
Also in 1A, Athens Bible beats South Lamar 2-1 in Game 2 to salvage a split.
8:39 PM, It’s a split: T.R. Miller beat Gordo 6-3 in Game 2, meaning there will be Saturday baseball in Gordo.
8:31 PM, Class 2A baseball: In Class 2A, Randolph County beat Mars Hill 13-1 in Game 1, but Mars Hill rebounded for a 6-4 victory in Game 2. Game 3 is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.
8:22 PM, Class 4A sweep: UMS-Wright beats Montevallo 7-3 and 12-0. The Bulldogs (29-9) advance to next week’s semifinals.

In 2A, Houston Academy and New Brockton are tied at 1-all.
In 1A, Decatur Heritage leads 3-0 over Cedar Bluff 0 in the fourth inning of Game 2.

8:06 PM, In Class 6A: Opelika ties it at 3-3 after four innings against Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.
7:56 PM, Update in Class 4A: North Jackson won 9-2 in Game 1 over Cleburne County and leads 5-0 in the first inning of Game 2.
7:51 PM, Up and out: Mr. Baseball candidate Owen Lovell hits a two-run homer, and Cullman leads 2-0 over Oxford in Game 2.
7:41 PM, It’s a shutout sweep: Defending 2A champ Mobile Christian sweeps Reeltown 6-0, 5-0 to advance to next week’s semifinals.
7:39 PM, A few Game 2s in progress: In Class 6A, Baldwin County leads 2-0 over Hueytown in the third inning. The Golden Gophers won Game 1.
In 5A, Faith Academy and Helena are scoreless in the second inning. Helena won Game 1. Demopolis leads 6-2 over Rehobeth after three innings. Rehobeth won Game 1.
In 3A, Madison Academy leads Winfield 1-0 after one inning.
In 1A, Athens Bible leads 1-0 over South Lamar.
