1:30 p.m.: No one is reporting that a signing is imminent, but Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com posted an interesting Tweet shortly after 1 p.m.
folks in lobby are suggesting 10-yr deal for jason heyward is very possible #cubs #cardinals #giants #angels #mystery team

Ten years is a lot of years. A 10-year deal would be for a ton of money. Keep an eye on this one. Also, bonus points to Heyman for citing “folks in the lobby.” The winter meetings are interesting.
11:35 a.m.: We have our first move of the day: The Mariners and Brewers have announced a trade that’ll send first baseman Adam Lind to Seattle in exchange for minor league right-handers Freddy Peralta, Carlos Herrera and Daniel Missaki.
