Red Lion knocked off first-place Hallam on Thursday evening, 5-2, in a Susquehanna League battle at Nitchkey Field.

Red Lion improved to 17-8. Hallam is now tied for first with East Prospect at 21-6. Jacobus is third at 17-7. Just three games now separate the top four teams.

Red Lion’s Kent Walker threw only 77 pitches en route to his third complete game in a row.

Red Lion was led at the plate by Dalton Martin, who hit a two-run homer in the fourth, and brothers Bren and Thomas Taylor, who combined for an additional five hits.

Brian Crumbling started for Hallam, while Travis Stump took the loss in relief.

LEAGUE GAMES

East Prospect 3, Felton 1: At East Prospect, Tanner Forry and Ryan Smith were each 2 for 2 with an RBI for East Prospect. Terry Godfrey struck out seven, walked three and gave up one run on two hits over five innings pitched for the Pistons. Patrick Daugherty and Cody Heffner each had a hit for Felton; while Luke Howard drove in the team’s lone run. East Prospect improved to 21-6.

Conrads 7, York Township 5: Brad Church’s lone hit was the biggest of the day, a two-out, two-RBI double in the bottom of the fifth that provided the winning margin. Rick Thompson was 2 for 3 with a double, home run and two RBIs for Conrads. York Township was led Andrew Freeburger’s 2-for-3 day that included an RBI and a run scored.

Jacobus 6, Stewartstown 2: Casey Markey scattered nine hits while tossing a complete game for the winners. Kerry Clark was 3 for 3 for Jacobus and teammate Drew Kelly homered. For Stewartstown, Cody Brittain was 4 for 4 and Jason Mitchell was 3 for 3. Jacobus improved to 17-7.

Mount Wolf 2, Dillsburg 0: At Mount Wolf, Dustin Kuhn’s solo home run to left field broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth. Three batters later, Grant Myers doubled home Mark Burnside for an insurance run. Wolves starter Jake Krevetski tossed 6 1/3  innings before giving way to Mark Burnside for the last two outs in the top of the seventh. Krevetski scattered four hits, struck out three and walked just one. Mount Wolf improved to 16-5.

Jefferson 10, Shiloh 4: Jordan Witmer was 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Jordan Higgins added a 2-for-4, two-RBI day for the Titans. Jacob Molison was 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Shiloh. Jefferson improved to 13-4-2.

Stoverstown 5, Pleasureville 4: At Pleasureville, Daryl Harang was 2 for 3 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored for the victors. Teammate Devon Harbold drove in the other two runs for Stoverstown, which improved to 17-6. Pleasureville was led by Beau Burris’ two-run double.

Manchester 11, Dover 7 (8 innings): At Dover, despite a five-run bottom of the seventh by Dover to force extras, Manchester shook it off by scoring four times in the top of the eighth. Austin Allison had a monster game at the plate for Manchester, going 5 for 5 with three doubles, a home run and five RBIs. Matt Jordan had a triple for Manchester. During Dover’s big seventh inning, Cody Glass launched a home run, the home team’s only extra-base hit of the contest.
