MLB Draft 2015: A look at N.J.’s college baseball players in the selection mix – NJ.com

Over the last two Major League Baseball First-year Player Drafts, a total of 22 New Jersey college players have been selected.

In last year’s draft, nine players from New Jersey colleges — including two from Seton Hall, Princeton and Division II Felician — were tapped by Major League baseball teams.

But that total could decrease as the 2015 Major League Baseball First-year Player Draft takes place this week, beginning Monday night and ending Wednesday.

That might be the first time ever.”

Still, the scout said a few New Jersey college players could hear their names called in the later rounds of the 40-round MLB Draft.
