NCAA Baseball Tournament 2015: Bracket, schedule and scores for the regional … – SB Nation

It’s finally here: the first weekend of the college baseball tournament. Over the next four days, 64 teams in 16 cities spread across the country will play between 96 and 112 games — at least 29 more than are played in the entire month of March Madness combined.

That’s a lot of baseball to watch — and yes, you can watch every single game through WatchESPN.com — so to make things easier, we’re tracking schedules, scores and recaps here in this post. Convenient, eh?

First, a brief rundown for those wondering what the heck a regional is and how it works. It’s a four-team, double-elimination mini-tournament held at the home ballpark of the top-seeded school in the group. You start with the 1-seed vs. the 4 and the 2 vs. the 3, then play double-elimination until there’s only one team left standing. That school moves on to the second round.

Here’s a quick look at what the format for each regional looks like:

Friday

Game 1: 3 seed vs. 2 seed

Game 2: 4 seed vs. 1 seed

Saturday

Game 3: loser of Game 1 vs. loser of Game 2

Game 4: winner of Game 1 vs. winner of Game 2

Sunday

Game 5: winner of Game 3 vs. loser of Game 4

Game 6: winner of Game 4 vs. winner of Game 5

Monday

Game 7 (if necessary): winner of Game 6 vs. loser of Game 6
