Oregon State baseball jumps to No. 3 in national rankings – OregonLive.com

A 15-2 start has pushed Oregon State baseball to its best national ranking of the season.

After seeing its 11-game win streak snapped the previous week, the Beavers completed a three-game sweep of Arizona State on Sunday and moved to No. 3 in D1Baseball.com rankings.

Florida (21-1) remained No. 1 and Texas A&M (18-2) moved from No. 3 to No. 2. North Carolina (17-2) moved into the top five at No. 4, while Vanderbilt (17-3) fell from No. 2 to No. 5

Sunday’s 7-3 win marked the first time OSU had swept the Sun Devils since 2011.

Oregon State has a .330 team batting average is the highest in the Pac-12, followed by Washington at .309, and ranks fifth in the league with a 3.29 team earned run average.

The Beavers will play at the University of Portland (11-8) on Tuesday at 6 p.m., followed by a three-game road trip at California (11-6) from Thursday to Saturday.
