LSU stayed unbeaten in the SEC Tournament with a 6-2 win over the first-place Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Jared Poche got the win for LSU and Parker Bugg picked up the save. Dakota Hudson took the loss for MSU.

NINTH INNING

* Bugg gets MSU 1-2-3.

EIGHTH INNING

* State leaves two on.

* Jacob Billingsley comes on to pitch for MSU with two outs, one on. He gets out of the inning.

SEVENTH INNING

* Jacob Robson with a triple to left gives MSU its first run. This came after Reid Humphreys reached on a fielding error in right. Robson scores on Gridley’s RBI groundout to make it 4-2.

With 2 outs, runners on 1st and 3rd, LSU turns to RHP Parker Bugg. He strikes out three-hole hitter Gavin Collins on a breaking ball to end the inning.

* Daniel Brown in to pitch for MSU with an 0-2 count on Deichmann with 1 out. LSU has 2 on.

He struck out Deichmann, but after a wild pitch, Michael Papierski singles in two runs and makes it 6-2.

SIXTH INNING

* Nothing for MSU, as the Bulldogs just have four hits.

* Vance Tatum in for Hudson on the mound. Hudson gives up nine hits, four runs (two earned) and strikes out six in five innings.

LSU didn’t score.

FIFTH INNING

* Nothing for MSU.

* Tigers load bases with 1 out off Hudson. Greg Deichmann RBI single makes it 4-0. They leave bases loaded, though.

FOURTH INNING

* LSU has been threatening for every inning since the second. A Michael Papierski sac fly gives LSU a 2-0 lead. Leadoff hitter Antoine Duplantis drives in a run with a 2-out single to lead 3-0. It’s unearned. Hudson gets a strikeout to end the threat.

* Promising start for MSU in the inning, but nothing. LSU leads 3-0.

THIRD INNING

* 1-2-3 for Mississippi State in the first. 

* Jake Fraley with a 1-out RBI single giving LSU a 1-0 lead. But LSU strands runners on second and third.

SECOND INNING

* 6-4-3 double play ends Mississippi State’s threat.

* LSU leaves a runner on.

FIRST INNING

* MSU loads the bases with 1 out. MSU did not score.

* LSU goes 1-2-3 with a strikeout.
