SEC Baseball Tournament 2015: Day 2 matchups, schedule, pitchers – AL.com

All games can be seen on the SEC Network on TV and streamed live at WatchESPN online. Matchups are set for Day 2 of the 2015 SEC Baseball Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

No. 11 seed Alabama, No. 7 seed Missouri, No. 9 seed Auburn and No. 5 seed Arkansas advanced past the single-elimination portion of the tournament on Tuesday.  

The SEC’s top four seeds – LSU, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Florida – had first-round byes and automatically moved to the double-elimination rounds, which begin on Wednesday.

Here is a look at the times, matchups and projected starting pitchers for Day 2 action at Hoover Met:

Game 5 (9:30 a.m. CT): No. 3 Texas A&M vs. No. 11 Alabama  

  • Probable starters: Texas A&M junior RHP Grayson Long (9-0, 2.59 ERA) vs. Alabama freshman RHP Jake Walters (4-4, 3.15 ERA)

Game 6 (TBD): No. 2 Vanderbilt vs. No. 7 Missouri  

  • Probable starters: Vanderbilt freshman LHP Ryan Johnson (5-0, 1.91 ERA) vs. Missouri junior RHP Peter Fairbanks (4-5, 3.42 ERA)

Game 7 (4:30 p.m. CT): No. 1 LSU vs. No. 9 Auburn  

  • Probable starters: LSU sophomore LHP Jared Poche (7-1, 3.18 ERA) vs. Auburn senior RHP Rocky McCord (5-4, 3.65 ERA)

Game 8 (TBD): No. 4 Florida vs. No. 5 Arkansas  

  • Probable starters: Florida freshman RHP Dane Dunning (5-2, 3.54 ERA) vs. Arkansas freshman RHP Keaton McKinney (6-1, 2.83 ERA)
