SEC Baseball Tournament 2015: Where Alabama, Auburn stand with 1 game left – AL.com

The SEC regular season title and the last two spots of the SEC Tournament are still up for grabs on the final day of the regular season.

The tournament will be played May 19-24 at the Hoover Met. The league’s top 12 teams advance. The top four get first-round byes and will be some order of LSU, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Florida.

LSU is a half-game ahead of Vanderbilt going into Saturday’s game. A Tiger win or a Vanderbilt loss clinches a regular season title for LSU. Vanderbilt needs the opposite of both scenarios to happen. LSU hosts South Carolina and Vandy is at Alabama.

By 3:30 p.m. CT, Alabama will know what it needs to do to continue its season. If both Tennessee and Georgia win their noon games, Alabama has to beat Vanderbilt to clinch a SEC Tournament spot.

A loss by either would put the Crimson Tide in regardless of its game against Vanderbilt. Georgia owns the tiebreaker over Tennessee.

Auburn, currently ninth, could finish as high as seventh depending on Saturday’s results. It has tiebreakers over Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Here are scores and current standings with current seeds. Times are CT.
