YONKERS, N.Y. — Three of the four men charged in the death of baseball prospect Michael Nolan have pleaded guilty on Wednesday.

Nashaun Hunter was charged with manslaughter, and Tejmitra Singh and Darren Dawson were charged with assault, Westchester County District Attorney said.

On Sept. 18, 2015, Nolan, 23, and a group of people were standing outside a Yonkers Burger King at 826 Central Park Avenue when a black Mercedes loaner car pulled up next to them.

Six shots were fired from the backseat of the car. One of the bullets struck Nolan in the head. Hunter, Singh, Dawson and a fourth person, Garth O’Neil Cole, was said to be in the car at the time, the district attorney said.

The shooting allegedly stemmed from an attack on one of the shooter’s friend and another incident during a drag race two nights before the shooting.

Nolan was drafted by the Oakland A's in 2014, but died in October 2015 after being pulled off of life support.
