VIDEO: LSU baseball players, fans salute Army foes with appreciation – SECcountry.com
The LSU baseball team made a grand gesture to the most worthy of foes on Saturday afternoon for Military Appreciation Day.
During Saturday’s game against Army, the Tigers stopped in the middle of the game to do a Soldier Salute, shaking hands with all of the Black Knights as the crowd at Alex Box Stadium applauded.
After the second inning of the second game of the season-opening doubleheader for the Tigers, the LSU players recognized their opponents.

Super cool. Instead of honoring one soldier for the Soldier Salute, LSU is honoring the entire Army team! pic.twitter.com/J2XN7zyY51

That wasn’t the only patriotic touch today, as the Wings of Blue, the U.S. Air Force Parachute Team, delivered the game ball at the beginning of the game.
LSU won the first game of the doubleheader 9-0 in seven innings.
