Xavier Turner returns home to host baseball camp – Sandusky Register

NORWALK — Opportunities like this don’t come around often.

On Saturday, 40 area kids were given the chance to workout with and learn from a rising star in the game of baseball: Sandusky’s own Xavier Turner.

Turner, a 2012 Sandusky graduate, who went on to star at Vanderbilt University before beginning his professional baseball career this past summer in the Texas Rangers’ system, is hosting his Xavier Baseball Academy winter baseball camp — which runs four days — in Norwalk. The camp includes seven sessions — one morning, one evening, where campers have been given the chance to receive advice from Turner, along with a number of area college coaches and players.
