No disrespect to today’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers, but most of them don’t come across as brawlers. 

As a group, today’s racers are far more physically fit than the drivers of yesteryear, although with few exceptions, they aren’t exactly an intimidating lot.

In honor of Sunday’s contretemps between Joey Logano and Kyle Busch following the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Moto Speedway, we thought about some of the NASCAR stars of yesteryear.

And these 10 old-school NASCAR racers are definitely guys you wouldn’t want to mess with because they would kick your butt from here to Darlington.
