SAN ANTONIO – A West Side soccer brawl Sunday afternoon ended with two people stabbed and one on the run from police.

The fight broke out during a game in a city park at Tampico and S. Sabinas just after 1:30 p.m.

Police on the scene said the soccer brawl spilled into the street and one man pulled a knife.

Witnesses told officers two men had been stabbed and one victim was taken by private vehicle to the hospital.

EMS treated the other man at the scene.

Police appeared to know the suspected stabber’s identity.

They said the soccer referee had collected the IDs of all the players before the game.

Witnesses told officers the stabbing suspect ran down Tampico after the fight.
