SUPERIOR, WI (WSAU) — Breaking news out of Douglas County, Jayme Closs has been found.
Jayme Closs, missing since October of 2018 from her Barron home has been found alive. The Barron County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page posted a status update at 7:55 pm that Jayme had been found alive in Douglas County.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department notified the Barron County Sheriff’s Department that they had found Jayme. Shortly after she was located a suspect was taken into custody. There are no more details available at this time as the investigation is still active.
The department thanks the Douglas Co Sheriff’s Department and agencies assisting them. They also want to thank all the Law Enforcement agencies across the state and county that have assisted us in the case. They could not have endured this case without the support of the public and want to thank them for all the support and help.
Sheriff Fitzgerald also says that “This case has been very trying on the family so please respect their privacy and we reunite them later tonight.”
