How to watch the USA vs. Argentina men’s soccer match on TV and online – Quartz

The United States men’s soccer team takes on Lionel Messi and Argentina tonight (June 21) at 9pm ET in the semifinal match of the Copa América tournament. Some are calling it “the most important game” in US soccer history—it’s a chance for the Americans to prove they can compete with arguably the best team in the world. The winner will face the winner of Colombia and Chile in the final on Sunday, June 26.

How to watch in the US

The Copa América airs on Fox Sports 1, which is available in about 85 million American homes. The US’s 2-1 quarterfinal win over Ecuador brought in 2.1 million viewers—a record for a soccer match on FS1. Still, that number pales in comparison to the 22 million who watched the US-Portugal match in the 2014 World Cup on ESPN.

If you have a standard cable package, you most likely get Fox Sports 1. You’ll also be able to watch on the Fox Sports Go app (available on iOS, Android, and Windows), but it will require that you login with your cable credentials. The game will also stream on Fox Soccer 2Go, though it costs a hefty $20 per month for a subscription if it’s not already part of your cable package.

FuboTV is streaming the game, and offers a 24-hour free trial. Those outside the US can access FuboTV with a VPN service.

The game will also air in Spanish on Univision (and its corresponding app.)

How to watch outside the US

In Argentina, the match will be on TyC Sports, DirecTV Sports, and Televisión Pública Argentina. In most of the rest of Latin America, it will be on DirecTV Sports.

Mexico (which lost to Chile 7-0) also has the game: It’ll be on Televisa and TV Azteca.

In the UK, the match will air on Premier Sports at 2am local time.
