CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three men have been arrested for allegedly attacking and beating NASCAR veteran Mike Wallace and his daughter after a North Carolina concert.
Motorsport.com reported that Nathan Lucas, 22, of Indian Trail; Paul Lucas, 29, and Randolph Magnum, 24, of Monroe, face charges in the incident.
Mike Wallace was brutally beaten by the suspects after attending a Rascal Flatts concert with his daughter Friday in Charlotte, according to his brother Kenny Wallace.
Kenny Wallace posted images of the alleged incident to social media. One photo shows his brother badly beaten and another shows the victim’s daughter on a stretcher.
“My brother Mike laid on the ground ‘knocked out’ and it was NOT even a fight and 3 men kept kicking my ‘knocked out’ brother in the face,” Kenny Wallace posted, in part, on his official Facebook page. “Think about it? .. My brother was knocked out and they were kicking him in the face.”
Kenny Wallace said his brother received 12 stitches inside his mouth and has been released from the hospital, according to FOX Sports.
Nathan Lucas and Randolph Mangum face charges of simple assault. Both were released on $1,000 bonds. Paul Lucas was charged with assault on a female and was released on a $1,500 secured bond. All three have court in Mecklenburg County planned for July 22.
According to WSOC, the company that employed one of the attackers was also let go.

“We were saddened by the regrettable events that took place on Friday, June 17. Upon learning that the offensive actions were taken by patrons who also happened to be employed by Lucas Landscaping, one of our service providers, we took swift and immediate action to terminate services provided by Lucas Landscaping at PNC Music Pavilion.”
After the story went national, Lucas Landscaping sent a news release regarding its employee accused of being involved in the incident:
On Friday, June 17 one employee of our company was accused of being involved in an assault upon one Mike Wallace and Lindsey Wallace Van Wingerden.
Since that time Mr. Wallace and various other individuals have chosen to post statements, comments and opinions regarding the circumstances on social media websites.
This has resulted in verbal attacks upon our business, suggestions that our clients abandon our company and innuendo regarding our business that we believe is designed to both frustrate the proper administration of justice within our court system and prevent our company from continuing to do business where we employ over 70 individuals who work hard and depend upon their jobs to support themselves and their families.
Mike Wallace made 197 starts with three top-five and 14 top-10 finishes during his career in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
