One night after Michigan’s thrilling 3-2 overtime win over Notre Dame, the Wolverines return to the ice to take on the Midwest Region’s top-seeded North Dakota.

Michigan (25-7-5) got scoring contributions from Justin Selman and Zach Werenski in regulation Friday before Tyler Motte netted his 32nd of the season to keep the team’s NCAA title hopes alive.

Earlier in the day, the Fighting Hawks (31-6-4) rolled over Northeastern, 6-2, led by goals from six different players.

The Wolverines are averaging a nation-leading 4.84 goals per game compared to North Dakota’s 3.61. Defensively, the Hawks rank third in Division I with a 1.85 goals against average, while Michigan’s 2.97 average ranks 36th.
