EAST RUTHERFORD — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has not let up on his verbal attacks on Mexican immigrants. But soccer fans arriving at MetLife Stadium for the CONCACAF quarterfinal soccer match between Mexico and Costa Rica had a response.
We politely disagree.

As Enrique Neri, of Paterson, was hanging a sign on his car that read, “We’re not all criminals Mr. Trump!” his son Uriel, a graduate student at Rutgers, said, “It’s freedom of speech so Trump has the right to his own opinion, but we don’t agree with him. That’s okay, though.”
Neri, who immigrated from Mexico thirty years ago, was happy to let passing fans pose with the sign on his car. But soon it was game time. After all, there was soccer to watch.
