LOUDON, N.H.  — It’s NASCAR race day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and we’ve got some essential information you need to get ready for Sunday’s New Hampshire 301 Sprint Cup Series race.

START TIME: New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan is scheduled to instruct drivers to start their engines at 1:37 p.m. ET, today. If you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 1:44 p.m. for the green flag.

RACE DISTANCE: The New Hampshire 301 is 301 laps around the 1.058-mile track for a total of 318 miles.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Caroline Burns, a contestant on The Voice television show, will perform the anthem at 1:31 p.m.

TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will broadcast today’s race beginning with a pre-show at 1 p.m. Performance Racing Network will call the race on the radio.

WEATHER: Sunday’s forecast calls for an afternoon high of 87 with a 50 percent chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch was last year’s race winner. He led 95 of the race’s 301 laps, including the final 49. And in the Chase race last September, Matt Kenseth took the lead with three laps remaining when Kevin Harvick ran out of gas trying to stretch his fuel to the finish.

STARTING LINEUP: Jimmie Johnson qualified first Friday with a speed of 133.971 mph to earn his first pole of the season. Also starting in the top five will be Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin. Alex Bowman is substituting in the No. 88 Chevrolet for Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is out with concussion symptoms.
