NASCAR brings spiritual tradition to New York – Page Six

It’s rare that folks say grace at New York’s black-tie galas.

But NASCAR “spiritual adviser” Billy Mauldin led the crowd in prayer over the meal at the racing org’s annual foundation gala at the Marriott Marquis after Sara Bareilles serenaded them.

Guests included Jimmie Johnson, Danica Patrick, Ty Dillon, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Rusty Wallace, Krista Voda, and Brian and Amy France.

The foundation donated $1 million to the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital of New York at NYU Langone.

NASCAR’s late matriarch Betty Jane France was remembered for “leaving cherished memories of love, laughter and a lifetime of good work.”
