With the imminent arrival of Hurricane Matthew, NASCAR, tracks and people in the community are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.
Right now, everything is still on schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which will host the Drive for the Cure 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race Friday night and the Bank of America 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Saturday night.
The forecast does not look good for Friday, with Saturday night looking more optimistic.
But this is obviously a developing situation that we will have much more on over the weekend.
