RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. – The daughter of BK Racing crew chief Joe Williams was killed in “freak car crash” Saturday afternoon outside of Asheboro, according to NBC Sports.

Stephanie Rembert died after being airlifted to the hospital. She was in her mid-to-late 20s.

NBC Sports reported that the crash happened in an unincorporated part of Randolph County outside of Asheboro on Saturday. Little information about the crash has been released.

The victim was in her vehicle with her two children, ages 9 and 6, according to the report. The children were reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Williams is the crew chief for the No. 23 Sprint Cup Toyota driven by J.J. Yeley. Funeral arrangements for his daughter are pending.
