KANSAS CITY, Kan. — It’s NASCAR race day at Kansas Speedway, and we’ve got some essential information you need to get ready for Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400.
START TIME: Mark-Paul Gosselaar, star of NBC television’s “Truth Be Told,” is scheduled to instruct drivers to start their engines at 2:22 p.m. (ET) today. If you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 2:31 p.m. for the green flag.
RACE DISTANCE: The Hollywood Casino 400, the second of two Sprint Cup races this season at Kansas Speedway, is 267 laps around the 1.5-mile track for a total of 400 miles.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Gracie Schram, a resident of Leawood, Kan., will perform the national anthem.
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: NBC will broadcast today’s race. The pre-race show is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. The Motor Racing Network will call the race on the radio.
WEATHER: Today’s forecast is picture perfect – a high of 70 with sunny skies and almost no chance of rain.
LAST TIME: Joey Logano won last year’s fall race at Kansas. The Kyles – Larson and Busch – followed in second and third, respectively.
STARTING LINEUP: Brad Keselowski won the pole Friday with a speed of 195.503 mph. Following in the top five on today’s starting grid will be Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin.
