NASCAR Xfinity Series at New Hampshire results: Kyle Busch wins second straight – CBSSports.com
Kyle Busch held off Ryan Preece at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to win his second straight NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday afternoon. Busch took the lead from Brad Keselowski with less than 30 laps to go when a member of Keselowski’s pit crew mishandled the gas can, leading to a stop and go penalty. Keselowski had led 102 of the 200 laps before the catastrophic mistake.
For Busch, the win was his 89th in the Xfinity Series, the most all-time. Retired driver Mark Martin is second with 49 and Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick is third with 46. Keselowski was going for win No. 36 in the series on Saturday and is fifth all-time.
Kyle Larson won a rain-delayed Stage 1 over Preece and Busch. Keselowski bested Busch, Larson and Preece in Stage 2. Preece was the real beneficiary of the stage racing however as Larson, Busch and Keselowski are ineligible to accumulate points.
