Prep Soccer: Winneconne breezes to win – The Oshkosh Northwestern
Kaitlyn Frierdich finished with four goals and the Wolves bolted to an 8-1 halftime lead en route to grabbing an 11-1 win over Assumption in a nonconference win on Saturday.
Emily Heyroth added a hat trick for Winneconne, while Leah Kubasta, Sophia Cutthill and Morgan Fenrich also scored in the win. Fenrich also picked up a pair of assists.
Asssumption scored its goal about 2½ minutes into the match to cut Winneconne’s lead to 2-1, but the Wolves then rattled off six goals, sparked by Frierdich’s tally in the seventh minute.
Dayton Lenz made three saves in goal for the Wolves.
