SNL’s Leslie Jones discovers MLS soccer, hilariously spends all day tweeting about it – CBS sports.com (blog)
By now, you probably have heard of Leslie Jones. She is one of the more well-known and hilarious cast members on Saturday Night Live. She grew up playing basketball, but it seems like she hadn’t been exposed much to soccer … until this weekend.
Jones live tweeted about soccer all Sunday, especially the MLS Playoffs, and it was so funny it will make your stomach hurt.
This all got started when Jones apparently saw some photos of Seattle Sounders players pretty much nude, using a ball to cover up on a magazine cover. Apparently she was immediately attracted and wanted to see more … of the sport.
As the first legs of the conference semifinals got going in the MLS Playoffs over the weekend, she decided to live tweet every game. Here’s the best of the bunch.
First, she says she is watching soccer to find a boyfriend and starts with the NASL match between the New York Cosmos and Minnesota United.
Then as she is trying to figure out where she can watch MLS, she checks out the Chelsea-Southampton Premier League game and likes what she sees in coach Antonio Conte or Victor Moses.
After declaring how attractive she finds coaches, players, the referees and especially Tim Howard, she gets into the action big time.
She starts to really love the sport, I think.
I WANT TO GO TO A SOCCER GAME SOMEBODY MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Who to cheer for? The best-looking ones?
Is a red card bad?
Howard impresses her big time. Imagine when she sees his highlights versus Belgium at the 2014 World Cup.
Yo the Tim dude is really good at his job!

And on this day, the world was gifted a new and popular soccer fan.
Welcome, Leslie, welcome.
Now can we make sure she live tweets Lionel Messi and Barcelona against Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid on Dec. 4?
