Soccer legend Diego Maradona threatens journalist before Real Madrid-Napoli – CBSSports.com

Soccer legend Diego Maradona is again in the news for the wrong reasons. The two-time World Cup champion is in Madrid ahead of the Napoli-Real Madrid Champions League clash on Wednesday, and he got into it with a journalist in the hotel lobby on his way to eat dinner. The journalist said Maradona hit him, and Maradona said that if he were to hit him, he wouldn’t have a nose anymore. Check out the heated exchange.

After Maradona doesn’t give the journalists the time of day, he said “We have been hit by Diego Maradona”

Maradona then says, “No, no. A hit, no. If I hit you, you wouldn’t even have a nose.”

The legend then goes on to say he isn’t allowed in the hotel, and that he wants to have a peaceful dinner.

But how peaceful was it? According to the AP, Spanish authorities were called to the hotel after an alleged heated argument between Maradona and his girlfriend. That just added to what was supposed to be a calm night.

In the end, Maradona says nothing happened, posting this on Facebook.

Maradona delivered great moments on the field and continues to deliver embarrassing ones off of it.
